Essence of Trust

Essence of Trust
A little girl and her father were crossing a bridge.
The father was kind of scared so he asked his little daughter:
"Sweetheart, please hold my hand so that you don't fall into the river."
The little girl said: "No, Dad. You hold my hand."
"What's the difference?" Asked the puzzled father.
"There's a big difference," replied the little girl.
"If I hold your hand and something happens to me,
chances are that I may let your hand go.
But if you hold my hand,
I know for sure that no matter what happens,
you will never let my hand go."

I found this writing on one of my old blogs and loved it, again.
I am thinking of my daughter and her father and hope that
she would feel this way about him.
And about me too, of course.

Trust. There is trust or there isn't. You can't trust a little, I think.
To trust is to know without one doubt
that the person will always be there for you, no matter what.
How many of these people do we actually have in our lives?

September it is. The first day of fall.
Not really when I look outside. I'm still swimming in the sea every night.
Hard to accept the reality...
Trying to figure out all the best things about fall...what are they?
Colours? Nature?

ps.  I remember sending this song once to my daughter's dad:

 1  -  2  -  3  -  4  -  5
