Le Petit Prince

via

Joyeux 70e Anniversaire, Le Petit Prince!

This book has been on my shelf for ages. In various languages.
I have read it so many times. As a child, as a teenager, and few times as an adult.
I buy it to friends and their children as gift for many occasions.
It is like a little guidebook for me on those lonely grey nights
when I doubt myself and the whole universe.

'The Little Prince', first released in 1943, has been translated into 250 languages
and is today one of the bestselling books in the world.
It is being released in new editions as part of a 70th birthday celebration.

is story of a little boy who leaves the safety of his own tiny planet to travel the universe,
learning the vagaries of adult behaviour through a series of extraordinary encounters.
His personal odyssey culminates in a voyage to Earth and further adventures.

“All grown-ups were once children... but only few of them remember it.”

“Goodbye, said the fox. And now here is my secret, a very simple secret.

It is only with the heart that one can see rightly.
What is essential is invisible to the eye.”
